MEET JENNIFER

A MINNEAPOLIS-BASED MAKEUP ARTIST PASSIONATE ABOUT HELPING YOU FEEL BEAUTIFUL AND CONFIDENT ON THE MOST IMPORTANT DAYS OF YOUR LIFE.

HOW IT ALL STARTED

It all started with a part-time career in retail for clothing stores when I thought I could go to a department store and avoid the post closing cleaning duties and such.  So I applied to a large department store, got in on a group interview and show up in a black suit.  The department managers all popped in during out group interview to take a look at the candidates, and when the store called to offer me a job, I was shocked to find out that the Cosmetics Manager spotted me and asked HR to make an offer to me in cosmetics (I applied to the Kids & Baby department)!  I remember telling the HR manager that I had zero experience in cosmetics and her response was, "Don't worry, they'll train you on everything you need to know."  So, this tomboy, college athlete decided to give this opportunity the good ole college try and I. LOVED. IT! This was the moment in life that sparked a passion and changed my career forever.  I started my career with Marshall Fields with a Origins getting to know the basics of skincare and color.  I then moved on to Estee Lauder where I was the youngest Beauty Advisor on the team.  I was then asked to join Estee Lauder's Advanced Beauty Advisors team which meant traveling with Lauder's National Artist to events around the Chicago and Wisconsin area.  I then decided to take on a Business Manager position Chicago with Nordstrom.  I was eventually recruited away from Cosmetics, and thought I would try to re-evaluate my career path and decided to pursue some advanced education outside of retail. However, I missed the beauty industry so much that while I was pursuing further education, I went to work for Clarins.  I did find a job in my new career path, however, I still missed cosmetics so much that I took my spare time to freelance and join Stila Cosmetics as a Sales and Education Artist in Chicago for several years.  When I made the decision to move to Minneapolis, I told Stila I would change markets and they were so impressed with my performance over the years that they offered me a Sales and Artistry Executive position, and I took it.  Stila is known for working at NYFW and being a part of other fashion shows and events across the U.S. that I knew I wanted to expand my talents with them.  The artistry I learned from celebrity make up artists and global artistry executives and trainers was invaluable and only strengthen my skills, talent and passion for the art.

I have now chosen to stay in and connected to the industry in the freelance industry.  I love using make up to bring out natural beauty and confidence on the most special days and events in my clients' lives.

When you are in my chair, you are the sole focus.  I come equipped with everything you need, and all that you didn't even know you needed.  You just show up and be ready to feel like the next steps you take out of my chair will be those on a red (or white, depending on the event) carpet - you'll be glowing, radiant and ready to turn heads!
